Pes Motion Studio had the opportunity to collaborate with The Disney Channel when we brought the dynamic world of “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion” to life by designing the show’s key art and visual identity.
Design System
The series follows Violet Rodriguez, a thirteen-year-old Latina, as she discovers a magical luchador mask that transforms her into Ultra Violet, a crime-fighting superhero with super speed. But she doesn’t go it alone! Joining her is Uncle Cruz, the enigmatic Black Scorpion.
To capture the show’s essence, Pes Motion Studio delved deep into the rich culture of Mexican wrestling, Lucha Libre. Impressed by its enormous power and vibrant color palette, PES built a powerful visual system and created vivid, energetic, fresh images in order to capture the fascinating imagery of the masked wrestlers.
Key Arts
Developing key art allowed PES to explore the heart of a project– it’s the first impression that grabs viewers and sets the tone for the entire product. We loved the challenge of diving deep and weaving together intricate details to bring the story to life visually.
Participating in the creation of the first superheroine with a Latin flavor was fantastico for Pes Motion Studio!
