The project
From the initial meetings, we knew this year’s challenge would be ambitious. Not only did we develop the Geeked Week 2023 brand identity and a complete graphic pack, but PES also created designs that seamlessly adapted to the panoramic giant screens of the live stage. In addition, Pes Motion Studio conceptualized the event’s publicity by designing massive billboards for high-impact locations such as Times Square.
Design System
Based on the concept of “Two Worlds Collide,” Pes Motion Studio designed a complete Netflix Geeked Week 2023 branding toolkit with a distinct aesthetic from previous years. To start, we stripped down the color palette to Netflix’s signature white, black, and red, emphasizing colliding forces. Additionally, we crafted a multitude of organic and abstract shapes that animated across the space like a thick, mysterious liquid.

Here’s where things became truly impressive: Due to the organic nature of the designs, a large portion of the assets were hand-animated, frame by frame, in a traditional manner. This meticulous attention to detail and artisanal development, integrated with 3D elements and our expertise in motion graphics, resulted in a truly unique product.
